Frozen Birthday Party

For our youngest daughter, who recently turned 6, we did a Frozen themed birthday party. Like most little girls, she is obsessed with Frozen, and in particular, Anna. She requested that the party not be too “Elsa”, so I happily obliged, and came up with the idea to do Anna’s formal dining room, and the living room became the North Mountain. As it turns out, I’m sort of a hoarder of Christmas decorations, so I was able to throw together this party decor using my handy hp printer and blue and white winter decorations I already had on hand. The only decor items I purchased were balloons, and the snowflakes hung up in the living room….ooops….I mean North Mountain. The total cost was under $20.00.

Here's a close up of Kristoff's ice blocks, which are just marshmallows on a cake pop stick, dipped in melted white chocolate and coated in icy blue sprinkles. The snowballs are far less creative, and are just powdered donuts ;)

To save time, I just picked up store bought cupcakes in "Frozen" colours, and the glass bottles were collected while on vacation in Florida. The Targets in the US sell Starbucks frappuccinos in the small glass bottles, so we loaded up on 4 cases. I washed them all (after enjoying a yummy frappuccino), and removed the labels. Now, whenever we have a party, I can print out labels for whatever theme, and re-use them, as they were only attached with a piece of tape. A pretty paper straw completes the theme. They are also super handy, as I wrote each child's name on the paper label, so everyone knew which one belonged to them.

Anna's formal dining room turned out far better than I had pictured in my head. I already had the navy tablecloth on hand, as I was planning on using it for my Christmas table this year (I actually didn't end up using that, but that's a post for another day....). And the lighter blue shimmery fabric I purchased for $5/meter at Fabricland, as I was planning on making an Elsa cape for my middle daughter, who was constantly dressed as Elsa while in Florida. I ran out of time, and never made the cape, but put the fabric to good use anyhow.

The faux embroidery were just pictures I found online, and printed out, cut them out, and taped them down to the table. I love how the table turned out looking like Anna’s dress. 
Love the sign. Also just printed out and popped into a pretty frame. The snowman was the prize for the winner of the Pin the Nose on Olaf game. I also love the white puff balls, as they look like snowballs (from the Dollar Store of course).

The snowflake candle holders were purchased at least a decade ago from PartyLite, and I’ve never done anything with them, until now.
