I don’t know about you, but I’m completely sick of winter. I hate the cold weather, and I find myself missing the smell of freshly cut grass, flowers blooming, and trees abundant with leaves. So……………. to try to combat the winter blahs, I’ve added in some green into my decor, using faux grass and succulents; I’m a total sucker for succulents.First, I gathered some of my faux succulents (purchased at the Dollar Tree and Home Sense),and paired them with some glass items, including my awesome pear shaped terranium (purchased at Value Village for $2.99).
I cut some cardboard the same shape and size as my white multi-use frame. Since my goal is to try to add some green, I painted it Leaf Green.
For my “Green Succulent Vignette”, I placed it on my dining room table, and arranged the succulents on top. I just heart that pear terranium. I also used three glass candle holders to give three succulents some height. Who said they can only be used for candles anyhow? lol. I think this pop of green was just what I needed 🙂 I also did some faux wheat grass in a living room vignette. I like to change up the items on this tray every couple of months, and this is perfect for adding in some green (especially with St. Patrick’s Day around the corner). These vases were purchased at Ikea for $3.99 each. A bit high for my liking, but I LOVED the lace type detail at the top.
That’s it for the Sunday post. Hope you all have an amazing day, and I’ll be back again on Wednesday. See you then 🙂
