For St. Patrick’s Day this year, I’ve put together a table with different shades of green, golds and white.
I really tried hard not to go too heavy with the clovers. Instead, I opted to make it more of a sophisticated scheme, perfect for a dinner party.
I used my faux succulents to add in some green, and placed the centrepiece on this cute gold tray I found ages ago at a thrift store for $4.00 (there’s two of them, so I could have made this really long centrepiece, but decided to use just one). I was never sure of what I was going to use it for, but this table seemed like the perfect opportunity.
I used foam clovers between the gold charger and the glass plate to add some St. Paddy’s Day flair. I absolutely LOVE my glass plates, since they allow me to also decorate the chargers for any occassion.
The ribbon was one of the only things I purchased for this tablescape. It’s from the dollar store, and with my daughter’s help, we managed to lay them flat across the length of the table. I love the different shades of green that they add.
Here’s a close up of one of the place settings.
All the items for the centrepiece were things I had lying around. My favourite item being the Nate Berkus sea urchin purchased at Target.
I added a cute little succulent to each place setting, so that each guest could take one home after dinner. I considered using these as name tags and writing guests names on them with a sharpie, but I decided to keep them plain. All these items placed together make for a sweet and happy dinner party. Bring on the green beer.
I even brought my “Lucky” sign over to the dining room for the occassion. Happy St. Patrick’s Day all 🙂
That’s it for todays post. Have a safe and happy Sunday. See you again on Wednesday.
