I’m so pleased to be here to share with you some truly inspiring outdoor and garden projects to get you outside and beautifying your space. Wow!!!! This past month has been CRAZY for me with projects, kids activities, graduation, and some huge plans for the backyard. That’s why the month of May’s theme for Outdoor Spaces & Gardens was a perfect time to get inspired by some of our amazing DIY Forum members.

Our tour starts with Ozzys Girl who created this inspiring backyard pool oasis.

This deck and fabulous sunshade were installed by the homeowners, which makes their backyard their own vacation retreat.

It was a lot of work to get there. The couple had to dig up and reinforce the pool wall.

Grey composite decking was used to give this outdoor space a nautical feel.

Once the decking was complete, some whimsical touches were added, including this fun “dock” step and paddle gate door.

The space was personalized in a fun and unique way. Yikes! Pug Sharks….

These adorable lighthouses were added to the corners of the deck, and a solar light on top gives off a soft glow in the evening.

Next on our tour is Michelle’s sweet garden.

Next stop is over at Shelly’s relaxing back patio.

I love all the details added to the space, especially those awesome yellow chairs! How fun.

Privacy was added to this patio area using a fun horizontal retro modern style fence.

Here is the fence coming together nicely.

What a perfect spot to relax at the end of the day with a glass of wine. Great job Shelly!!!

Next, let’s go visit Doris’ backyard pallet paradise. It’s amazing what she did with pallets.

Doris’ back deck is adorned with these pallet creations including the chair, coffee table, settee and event the bar cart painted a happy red tone.

Her studio shed is an artist’s dream with its eclectic mix of new and old decor.

Micheline’s expertly transformed pool deck is a welcome retreat for all to enjoy.

This hilarious sign makes me chuckle, and I’m swooning over that vintage paddle.

This turquoise set is a perfect tone to coordinate with the cool blue color of the pool. Awesome choice Micheline!

The last stop on our tour is Christina’s cheery back deck.

This fun outdoor rug used to be a drop cloth that Christina painted. So fun and I love that it can be personalized to fit with any decor, and it goes so well with the red outdoor couch.

This old plant stand was purchased at an estate sale and spray painted a fun teal color.

This cute nautical garden decor was made using posts and rope. I love how simple and sweet it is.

I’m sure hummingbirds love this bright and cheerful garden just as much as I do.
