Little known fact about me… I’m half American. My dad was born and raised in upstate New York, and his side of the family lives all over the USA, including Pennsylvania, California, Massachusetts, Arizona and Connecticut. So, July 4th holds a special place in my heart and even though I’m Canadian, I also like to celebrate this holiday along with my neighbours to the south and this fun DIY Patriotic Banner is a quick and easy way to show your pride.
As you know, I’ve teamed up with some amazing bloggers for the Spectacular Summer Blog Hop, where we basically hang out all summer long and share one another’s blog posts about all things summer; from decor, DIY projects, recipes, kid’s activities.
Today, we’ll be visiting Victoria’s blog, Dazzle While Frazzled, where she shows us diy crafts and decor on a dime. But first, let’s get to know Victoria a little better with some Q&A:
- What is your favorite social media platform, and why? Pinterest is by far my favorite to use. However, Instagram is just pretty and fun to scroll through.
- If you could hire someone to help you, would it be with cleaning, cooking, or yard work? I’d love to have someone meal plan and grocery shop for me. I’d take that any day over cleaning toilets.
- What celebrity would you like to meet at Starbucks for a cup of coffee? I’d love to have even 5 minutes with Oprah. I still miss her daily TV show!
- What is the first thing you do when you wake up? Get a cup of coffee, work on the computer and then skip out of the house to exercise before any kids realize I’m up and can make them breakfast!
Way to go Victoria!!! Out the door to exercise in the morning… We are so not alike… but we both love DIY and home decor, so without further ado, let’s hop on over to see how she made this adorable DIY Patriotic Banner using napkins, gift bags and scrapbook paper:
