While on one of my many trips to Lowes, I came across some scrap pieces of wood that I thought I could re-purpose into a cute seasonal sign.
The nice guy from Lowes let me have the scrap wood for free, so the only items I had to buy were the wooden letters and scrapbook paper.
I picked up coordinating scrapbook paper in St. Patrick’s Day colours, and bought the letters at the dollar store and Walmart.
Using green craft paint, I painted the edges green.
Using gold spray paint I had on hand, I sprayed the letters gold.
I cut the scrapbook paper to size, and glued it on to the blocks.
I then glued all the pieces together with a strong wood glue. I let it dry overnight to ensure it would stay together. I used double sided Velcro to attach the letters to the wooden blocks. I like using Velcro since it can be changed easily.
I paired the sign with some green items, and called it a day 🙂
I really like how it turned out, and it was so easy (and inexpensive) that I may make one for every holiday. That’s it for Saturdays post. I’ll be back again tomorrow with a green tablescape. Yay!!!! See you then.
