As I’ve mentioned (once or twice), I LOVE having all girls. I love all things girly, and getting to do fun girly things with my girls is the best. And…… What could be more girly than a Tea Party?
My youngest asked if we could host a Tea Party for her and five of her closest friends, and I happily obliged (as long as I got to decorate).
I put together this fun tea party using hearts as the common theme throughout. Since a traditional proper tea room also includes sandwiches, I knew I had to include a lunch for our little guests. The sandwiches were cut into hearts using a cookie cutter.
The sideboard was also decorated with love birds, cupcakes, and a bunch of pink items I pulled from my stock pile of Valentine’s Day decor.
I found this adorable “Chocolat Chaud” container at Goodwill, and the girls had the choice of pink hot chocolate or tea (decaf of course).
Surprise, surprise…. nearly ALL of them chose the pink hot chocolate, complete with mini marshmallows and pink sprinkles.
For the party, I made some special Pinky Popcorn, which included mini marshmallows, pink and red smarties, teddy grahams, and pink sprinkles. The girls also all took home a plastic goblet with some of this mix to have as a treat later on. The larger marshmallows were simply dipped in melted pink chocolate and then dipped in mini heart sprinkles.
I also included some crackers and heart shaped cheese, also cut into little hearts using a small cookie cutter.
All in all, it was a sweet little tea party, and fun was had by all <3
That’s it for today’s post. I’ll be back again on Friday. See you then 🙂
