With Father’s Day around the corner, I decided to cook up a little something special to celebrate all the dads out there, and I’m so excited to show you this fun Father’s Day Tablescape.
I put together a little Father’s Day Tablescape to say thank you to my amazing husband and my hilarious dad when we got together for brunch. Here are some ideas for decorating for Father’s Day.
I started off with the fabric. It was on clearance at Fabricland, and I paid about $7.00 for both yards of plaid fabric. I chose these because they reminded me of a men’s shirt. I suppose a thrift store plaid shirt would also work to add the plaid look; they could even work as napkins too!
The table was complete with all things that the Dads in my life enjoy. A suitcase for travelling, golf tees, golf balls, a hammer for the DIYer in my husband, and a shiny gold trophy I scored at a thrift store.
My favourite part of this tablescape is the faux grass and golf tees. I used play dough to keep the golf tees in place. The flags were made using scrapbook paper, wooden dowels and scrapbooking stickers purchased at the Dollar Tree.
The Dad’s Root Beer was the final added touch that put this tablescape in the category of awesomeness. Lol. I had to go to three different grocery stores trying to find it, but finally lucked out at the most unlikely store, which happened to also be the one closest to my house. Go figure. The cute “tie” place settings were also made with coordinating scrapbook paper.
Just for fun, here’s my favourite pic of my dad and I (when I was two). I’m apparently wondering why I didn’t have a stubbly chin. Lol.
See you next time friends 🙂
Your table is sheer delight and has to make the men in your life chuckle with appreciation.
Thanks lulu ????
Btw, I’ve been really enjoying following along with your recent trip to Italy. Great photos.
