For this month’s #30DayFlip, the challenge was to add colour to a space or with an item. For my project, I decided to turn this old sad looking bar cart into a fun and happy addition to my outdoor decor.
The finished “bar cart party zone” (that’s what I’m calling it) was inspired by summer corals and pinks.
I just love these tones paired together.
In comes our knight in shining armour, in a pretty shade of coral. I disassembled the bar cart in order to be able to avoid spraying the glass. Once sprayed, I reassembled it and only one screw managed to slide through the deck boards. Lol.
Some pretty coordinating accessories were added to the bar cart party zone to tie it all together.
I’m absolutely smitten with this gorgeous outdoor fabric. The coral and taupe colours work beautifully together. I see some cushions in this fabric’s future…
The two glass shelves on the bar cart are a beautiful way to store drinks. There’s even enough room for a blender to mix some yummy summer drinks.
I added these nice sunflowers to bring in a natural element.
This bar cart makes drinks (and candy) easily accessible, and allows the hostess to interact and not be constantly going back and forth, making drinks in the kitchen.
Here is a close up of the banners. The craft paper was purchased at Michaels, along with the adorable clothespins that were on clearance. I loves me a good deal.
I’m so glad to have taken part in this month’s #30DayFlip, hosted by Jeanette from Snazzy Little Things and Meredith from Arts and Classy. This challenge motivated me to get out of my brown and beige comfort zone and try something new and exciting.
That’s it for today’s post. Thanks so much for checking out my blog. If you are looking to participate in the #30DayFlip challenge, click on the link below to see the details.
