Merry Christmas to everyone celebrating today with friends and family. I’m so excited to share this quick post with you all about my holiday tablescape.
For this tablescape, I went with a very neutral palette in taupes, creams and beiges.
These neutral tones were soft and warm without being too boring. They also complimented the warm grey wallpaper in the dining room.
I sometimes tend to go a little over the top when it comes to place settings, so this one was intentionally simple. I always like to do assigned seating, as I find that guests typically like being told where to sit. On the few occasions that I haven’t done assigned seating, my guests are like “well, what do we do?” lol.
The runner was the jumping off point for this scheme. I found this fabric on clearance at my local fabric store and used the “back” of the fabric instead of the front. I just liked it better, and it had a shimmery quality to it, which was perfect.
My favourite item on this table is by far my Christmas napkins. I found this adorable vintage looking fabric that had a Christmas hymn print on it. I sewed these napkins in under an hour, which wasn’t such a huge deal considering the impact they have on the overall tablescape.
I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and can celebrate the holiday with friends and family. See you all soon 🙂
