One way to stay warm and cozy on this cold January day is to curl up with a cup of hot cocoa. This is one thing that I actually love about the cooler months, and we can’t seem to be able to keep our hot cocoa stocked for more than a day or two around our house.
For a nice treat, I set up this cute hot chocolate display, inspired by these awesome chocolate spoons.
I busted out a pretty tablecloth and my fun Hot Chocolate jug (that I picked up at Goodwill last year) to make this a little more special.
Did you know that hot chocolate was created by the Aztecs? It’s true!!! But their version was not only hot, but also very spicy. They included chili’s in their hot chocolate, and the Mayans and Aztecs actually used the cocoa bean as a form of currency! Like…. obviously.
Hot chocolate is even packed full of antioxidants too. Not that it would matter to me 😉 I’d drink it regardless. Well, that’s it for my lazy Sunday post. I’ll be back again on Thursday with a new (and really cool) post featuring a project I’ve been working on for the past couple weeks. And don’t forget to check me out on Saturday, January 23rd at 12noon on Periscope where I’ll be streaming live from my home office and showing you how I created a fun and organized bookshelf (all for under $50.00).
