In my last post, I showed you how to create a fun and unique Valentine’s Day inspired bed. In that post, I also showed you a cute knit wreath above the bed which was made to coordinate with the bed decor. Here are the (super easy) step by step instructions on how to make your very own.
This wreath was extremely easy to make and requires very limited sewing skills.
Here’s a breakdown of the items I used for this craft:
1) knit infinity scarf from the dollar store ($3.00) – you could always knit your own if you are super savvy; 2) embroidery thread and a needle I had lying around the house; 3) felt hearts with a sticky backing ($1.00); and 4) some polyester stuffing.
I started by sewing up the scarf with my embroidery thread. I didn’t have any white thread on hand, so I just used the closest colour I could find. It didn’t really matter though, since the thread would be at the back of the wreath.
Once I had almost reached the end, I stuffed it full of polyester stuffing and worked it around the wreath to fill it evenly. Then, I sewed it up and left a loop on the end to act as a hanger on the back of the wreath.
Next, I simply stuck the hearts on the bottom right side to hide the seam, and voila. The wreath is fun, cozy and perfect for Valentine’s Day. It took me a total of about 10 min to make this.
See you again on Sunday my friends, where I’ll show you what I’ve been working on for the #30DayFlip Challenge for January. The theme is Organization, and I’ve been working on transforming a second hand bookcase for storage in my office. So excited to show you all 🙂 See you then,
I love this diy project! Thanks for sharing
Hi janella, So glad you liked it 🙂 xoxo
