Welcome to the March Pinterest Challenge Blog Hop, hosted by My Pinterventures. The purpose of this Pinterest Challenge is to motivate all the participants of this hop (and you too) to not just pin, but to make it happen! So this month, I’m going to show you how to make twig antlers.

For my challenge, I chose to use this Pin as inspiration for creating some new Spring decor. I wanted to create something to go above my fireplace and my goal was to keep the cost as low as possible.
I started off by taking a trip to my backyard. I cut two branches that were similar in size and that looked a lot like “antlers”.
For the plaque, I thought it would be easiest to trace it if I drew it out on some cardboard.
I cut out the plaque shape using my jig saw and a piece of scrap wood.
I then stained the plaque and let it dry.
To secure the branches in place, I nailed them in. I tried to use what I had on hand, and my nails on hand were too big. So, to deal with that I simply bent the nails with my hammer. The twigs were very soft, so this step was very easy.
To cover up the ugly part, I hot glued some faux leaves and tea roses in place.
Lastly, I secured a D-ring on the back of the plaque so that it could be hung in place.
Once it was hung in place, I call this project done!
I love how it turned out and the total cost was only $2.00 for the flowers. I managed to use supplies I had on hand, and it’s definitely getting me in a spring mood. See you next time my friends,

Sue, this is so cute! I can’t believe the twigs really look like antlers, and the sweet flowers add a very soft touch to it. Love it!
How cute this is. I like how easy it is and inexpensive to create a nice focal point for the fireplace.
Clever and unique. I had not seen these on Pinterest but I love it! What an easy project with a huge decor impact!
I love this idea! We have a few trees in our yard that could use a trim and this would be a great way to use some of the branches. Plus, I think you could just change out the flowers or add a wreath for different seasons.
Great project! I could see it as whimsical decor in a child’s room as well. Pinned!
Those turned out so great. Well done and great choice.
I love this! Easy, frugal, and it’s fun. Pinned
So cute, would look great in a cabin! Thanks for sharing.
I’m so glad you shared this! My son found a piece of driftwood that looks like antlers and has been asking me to mount it and hang it on his wall. I keep telling him I will but haven’t had the time to think about how I will actually do it!
What a great idea. This looks so pretty. I love crafts that only cost a few dollars. The flowers are the perfect touch.
This is really cute and creative! I like your version better with the addition of the pretty flowers!
That is an awesome $2 craft! Such a great idea an I love the addition of the flowers.
