This Summer, I’m so happy to be participating in a Tablescape Blog Hop! This is where I team up with other bloggers to bring you a bunch of Summer inspiration for a formal get together or casual everyday use.
For my tablescape, I went with a Modern Tropical theme and kept it fresh by using black and grey tones.
I recently upcycled this rusty metal table by adding a wood top and staining it to coordinate with some of the other wood tones on my newly finished backyard patio. I think it adds just the right amount of coziness to this table setting.
These wicker chairs were a total score that I came across on a local buy & sell app and the natural wicker colour brings warmth to the grey patio stones. Also, the pink begonias add a pop of colour.
I found these modern grey placemats, melamine plates and stemless wine glasses at the dollar store and I love the simple elegant look. Three cheers for the dollar store!!!
To make the table setting a bit more fun, I added a cute striped paper straw.
The buffet was recently painted in a matte black paint, accented with my coral tray and this awesome Scottish cow portrait.
We’re about 90% finished our patio, but here is a sneak peek.
These grey lanterns haven’t been used to their full potential, so I’m glad I was able to find a home for them where they get to be front and center.
Overall, I’m pleased with how my new patio has come together and dressing this fun and modern table is like the icing on the cake.

Until next time my friends,
