Fall is around the corner and although I’m a summer gal at heart, I still love when summer turns into “sweater weather”. One of my favourite things to do when the weather gets a little crisp is to have a fun little outdoor fall picnic.
if you’re hopping over from Polka Dot Poplars, then welcome! Don’t you just love Dru’s adorable table setting? Huge thank you to Kelly from North Country Nest for hosting this Fall Tablescape blog hop. Be sure to check out all the other posts on this hop at the bottom.
I set this up using seasonal mums, pears, pumpkins and pomegranates. I let the harvest decide what would work best for my little picnic.
A picnic can’t be complete without some sammys, grapes and crackers.
I love using fruit as decor because their colours are always perfect.
I picked up this flannel blanket from a thrift store a few years ago. After a thorough wash in the sanitize cycle, it was good as new. I’ve also used it as a tablecloth. Yay for versatility!
Although the leaves are starting to change, I still want to enjoy every last bit of green leaves and sunshine before the cold temperatures set in.

See you next time my friends,
I love that you did a picnic! That is so creative and the spot looks like perfection to me!
Wonderful place to spend the afternoon on a perfect fall day. Love the plaid blanket, pumpkins and everything!
Such a beautiful pic nic setting. Fall is my favorite and we love getting outside when the air is crisp. You have inspired me to plan a fall picnic. The colors of the fruit are really pretty for a fall tablescape.
This is my absolute favorite time of the year weather wise, so a picnic is a great idea! Love it!
Ohh this is just perfect – I can imagine how relaxing it would be to enjoy this picnic setup!
Thanks for joining in on the hop 🙂
