It’s December already?!? How did that even happen? It’s such a crazy time of year, but I truly do love the Christmas season brings people together. And what better way to show our friends and family some love than with a welcoming Christmas tablescape?
I’m excited to be joining 9 other blogging friends this week to bring you 10 Holiday Tablescape Ideas. This hop is hosted by the very talented Kelly from North Country Nest. Be sure to check out all the gorgeous tables all decked out for the holidays at the end of this post.
I completely changed the colours and style of my Christmas decor this year. Psst…. you’ll see the whole sha-bang next week for my Christmas Home Tour, but for now, we’re just focusing on the table 😉
Inspired by deeper, richer tones, I decided to go with dark green, jewel toned blues and copper. How fun, am I right???
My dining room is teeny tiny, but we have managed to squeeze in 12 people around this table (when the center table leaf is in of course). Hey, you gotta work with the space allotted, right?
I picked up these awesome copper placemats at Walmart, and used my copper mugs (that were a Christmas gift last year). The copper damask candle holders and faux pillars are from the dollar store aka one of my favourite places.
I picked up this gorgeous velvet fabric the other day and my plan is to make pillow covers. However, since the dark green matched my colour choices, I decided to improvise and use it as a tablecloth for now.
I tied in the green theme by using bottle brush trees on the window sill and I framed a gift box that had a gold stag head with a green background.
My dining room is really neutral, so any colour choice will work. I love to bring in pops of colour, so that I can change it around, depending on the season (or my mood).
I can’t wait to get started with some Christmas baking and desserts; and long leisurely dinners around this table.
I hope you have a wonderful week and hope to see you back here soon. Be sure to check out the other blogs on this hop below.
Until next time my friends,
